President Says National Background Check System Problems are Also Present in Volunteer Background Checks

A recent article by USA Today exposed some of the glaring issues with the government’s National Background Check System, used for gun purchases. According to James Boeddeker, the President at, some of those same FBI database issues plague the fingerprint process used for volunteers across the United States.

According to the recent article by USA Today, millions of fugitives can pass undetected through federal background checks and buy guns illegally because police departments across the country routinely fail to put their names into a national database that tracks people on the run from the law.
