USCIS Releases New E-Verify Fact Sheet

USCIS Releases New E-Verify Fact Sheet

The USCIS recently released a new E-Verify fact sheet for employers who receive a “DHS Tentative Nonconfirmation” on a new hire employee.  Typically, a DHS TNC will occur if there is some error or mismatch in the employee’s immigration records.  For example, the DHS may have an inaccurate alien registration number, date of birth, or other piece of data recorded for a lawful permanent resident or alien authorized to work.

While these mismatches can usually be resolved through the E-Verify TNC process, the incorrect data can still follow the person, which leaves the possibility that they could receive another TNC in the future.

The Fact Sheet provides instructions on how employees can correct their information, depending upon their unique situation. By correcting their information, they can hopefully reduce the likelihood of “repeat TNCs.”

Love Lifts Us Up

Love Lifts Us Up

We recently received a lovely valentine in the mail from Ronald McDonald House, to which we provide background checks at a discount.   It included a touching story about a child who was given a second chance at life.   Read below for Trinity’s story.

trinityThis is Trinity, who received a heart transplant last Valentine’s Day.  Just over a year ago, doctors in her home state told her family to call in hospice.  Thanks to you and the team at Cincinnati Children’s who went through heroic measures to save her, today she is thriving.  Your support made it possible for Trinity’s family to find rest, love and support at our House while their daughter received the gift of a new heart and a new chance at life.

Please give the enclosed balloon to a child or a friend in your life and share with them the difference Ronald McDonald House makes in the lives of families like Trinity’s.  We simply couldn’t do it without friends like you.

Thank you so much for your support.  We appreciate your help in keeping our families safe.
